Our Mission
Mass Bears & Cubs (MBC) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to creating an inclusive, empowering LGBTQ+ community. We bring people together through events, fundraising, and outreach that promote visibility, connection, and equality.
All identities are welcome — Bears, Cubs, Otters, Chasers, and everyone in between. Our community is built on respect, openness, and showing up for each other.
What We Do
We create space for people to connect in real life and feel like they belong. That includes:
Hosting social events, community gatherings, and annual celebrations
Partnering with local venues, nonprofits, and community organizations
Raising funds and donating to causes that support LGBTQ+ people and our broader community
Creating welcoming, body-positive spaces where people can show up as themselves
Why We Do It
Community doesn’t happen by accident — it’s built. Especially in LGBTQ+ spaces, it matters to have places where people can meet, be seen, and feel supported without pressure or judgment.
